California State University San Marcos Profile

Founded in 1989, California State University San Marcos (CSUSM or CSU San Marcos) is a public coeducational university located in San Marcos, California (USA). It is the 20th campus of the California State University system. The university is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) for both Bachelors and Masters degree programs.

The university has three impressive colleges and a nursing school:
- College of Arts & Sciences
- College of Business Administration
- College of Education
- School of Nursing

The College of Arts and Sciences (CoAS) offers Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Arts (MA) and Master of Science (MS) degree programs. It is home to academic departments and programs within the math and natural sciences; social and behavioral sciences; and arts and humanities and other interdisciplinary programs.

The College of Business Administration receives national attention for the “Senior Experience” Program. It offers an MBA degree and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree with specialization in Accounting & Finance, Global Business Management, Information Systems & Operations Management, and Management & Marketing.

Undergraduate majors are offered in Business Administration, Liberal Studies, Communications, Psychology, Pre-nursing, Sociology, Human Development, etc. Every baccalaureate degree requires completion of a minimum of 120 semester units. Some majors require more than 120 semester units.
