UCCS in Top Rankings

The University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) is a campus of the University of Colorado System, consistently placed in the top tier of all public and private master’s universities in the West.

The university has the following Colleges and Schools: College of Engineering and Applied Sciences; College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences; Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences; College of Business and Administration; College of Education; The Graduate School; School of Public Affairs.

The College of Business & Administration awards the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and the Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) degrees. Both degree programs are accredited by the AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The Beth-El College of Nursing & Health Sciences is accredited with the Colorado State Board of Nursing and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

The College of Education is accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE), the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE) and the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP).

The School of Public Affairs is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration’s (NASPAA) Commission on Peer Review and Accreditation.

The College of Engineering and Applied Sciences is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).

Rankings:

- Ranked 30th among the Tier 1 Master's Universities in the west (U.S. News and World Report 2010).

- 6th among public master’s degree-granting Western universities, according to the U.S. News and World Report “America’s Best Colleges” 2009 edition. Master’s universities provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s degree programs.

- The undergraduate engineering program is ranked 10th in the nation among public engineering schools offering bachelor’s or master’s degrees (USNWR 2009).

- 10th among public Western Universities (USNWR 2008).

- 72nd in the ranking of Best Graduate Nursing Programs (US News & World Report 2008 Edition).

- In 2006, U.S. News & World Report ranked the UCCS College of Engineering and Applied Science as 4th-best among public universities and the 16th best overall among bachelor and master's degree engineering schools.
