Founded in 1878, Brenau University is a leading private university located in Gainesville, Georgia, USA.

The University has the following Schools: School of Education, School of Business and Mass Communication, School of Fine Arts and Humanities, School of Health and Science. Rankings:

- The University moved up five places in the 2011 U.S. News & World Report rankings of best colleges and universities and for the sixth consecutive year placed in the top 15 ratings for best educational value in the 11-state southeastern region. In the "Best regional Universities" survey, Brenau University moved from 34th to 29th among about 100 colleges and universities listed. The overall rankings are based on assessments by all the university presidents surveyed, graduation rates, average admission test scores, faculty/student ratio and other criteria.

- Ranked 34th among Tier 1 Master's Universities (South) by US News 2010. It is also rated as the 10th best education value in the South.

- 39th in the US News Ranking of Best Occupational Therapy Schools (2009).

- The Princeton Review has consistently listed Brenau University as one of the "Best Southeastern Colleges".

- It has been listed as one of the "Great Colleges To Work For" by the Chronicle of Higher Education.
