Victoria University of Wellington

Victoria University of Wellington is one of the leading universities in New Zealand. It was founded through an Act of Parliament in 1897.

Victoria University has the following Faculties: Architecture and Design, Engineering, Education, Commerce and Administration, Graduate Research, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law, and Science.

The Faculty of Science is a leading New Zealand centre of scientific teaching and research, offering degrees and programmes through the following schools: School of Biological Sciences; School of Chemical and Physical Sciences; School of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences; School of Mathematics, Statistics and Operations Research; School of Psychology.

Victoria's Faculty of Commerce and Administration is one of the nation's leading providers of quality knowledge and expertise in business related studies. The accounting programmes hold three accreditations: Accreditation from the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants (NZICA); Accreditation from CPA Australia; Accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). The Master's of Business Administration (MBA) was awarded international accreditation by the Association of MBAs, or AMBA, in 2008.

Sir Doug Kidd (former Speaker of the New Zealand House of Representatives), Sir Jack Marshall (former Prime Minister), Sir Brian Talboys (former Deputy Prime Minister), etc.
