Top Universities in Macedonia

Ss Cyril and Methodius University Skopje is the top ranked university in Macedonia, followed by Saint Clement of Ohrid University of Bitola in 2nd place and Institute of Informatics Ss Cyril and Methodious University in Skopje in 3rd place, according to the Webometrics ranking of Top Colleges and Best Universities of Macedonia, The Former Yugoslav Republic of (July 2011).

The Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is the first state university in the Republic of Macedonia, established in 1949. The University has the following faculties: "Blaze Koneski" Faculty of Philology; Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food; Faculty of Architecture; Faculty of Civil Engineering; Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering; Faculty of Dentistry; Faculty of Design and technologies of furniture and interior; Faculty of Dramatic Arts; Faculty of Economics; Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies; Faculty of Fine Arts; Faculty of Forestry; Faculty of mechanical engineering; Faculty of Medicine; Faculty of Music; Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics; Faculty of Pharmacy; Faculty of Philosophy; Faculty of Physical Education; Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy; Faculty of Veterinary Medicine; Iustinianus Primus Faculty of Law; St. Kliment Ohridski Faculty of Pedagogy.

The St. Clement of Ohrid University of Bitola (also known by the acronym UKLO) is the second state university in Republic of Macedonia and the most important institution in the area of higher education in the region of South-Western Macedonia. The studies at UKLO are organized in five different places, Bitola mainly, Ohrid (Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality), Prilep (Faculty of Economics), Skopje (Police Academy), Kichevo (Faculty of Law) and Veles (Technological – Technical Faculty).
