Ranking of top UK universities for 2017:

Complete University Guide:
The University of Cambridge was ranked No. 1 in the UK, according to the Complete University Guide 2017, followed by Oxford in 2nd place and London School of Economics in 3rd place.

Guardian University Guide:
Cambridge was ranked 1st in the UK by Guardian League Table 2017, ahead of Oxford (2nd), St Andrews (3rd) and Loughborough (4th). Loughborough University's 4th place ranking marks the University’s highest ever league table position and makes it the top ranked university in England after Cambridge and Oxford.

Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide:
According to the Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2017, St Andrews was ranked No. 1 in Scotland (3rd in the UK), ahead of Dundee (2nd in Scotland and 28th in the UK). In addition, the University of Dundee has been named Scottish University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide for a second consecutive year.
