Edinburgh Napier University is one of the largest universities in Scotland, offering a range of courses that can be studied in a number of flexible ways - full-time, part-time, distance learning and via the Internet.

The University has the following Faculties & Schools:
- The Business School (School of Accounting, Economics & Statistics; School of Management & Law; School of Marketing, Tourism & Languages)
- The Faculty of Health, Life & Social Sciences (School of Health & Social Sciences; School of Life Sciences; School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Care)
- The Faculty of Engineering, Computing and Creative Industries (School of Computing; School of Creative Industries; School of Engineering & the Built Environment)

The University has developed strong links with international organisations and deliver courses with Higher Education institutions in China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia. It was the first UK university to open a representative office in Beijing.

Awards and Rankings:

- According to The Complete University Guide, it is placed 71st in 2008, 77th in 2009 and 72nd in 2010.

- 43rd out of 117 Leading UK universities (Guardian University Guide 2010). In addition it is ranked 33rd for Business and management studies.

- According to The Times Good University Guide, it is ranked 64th in 2009 and 65th in 2010.

- Awarded the Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education for 2009.

- It has been rated as a Top 10 UK University for Graduate Employability (HESA 2009).

- 31st for Art and Design (Times 2009).

- Ranked as the best modern university in Scotland by the Guardian University Guide 2009.

- Edinburgh Napier University was named the best University in Scotland for graduate level employment according to the Sunday Times University Guide 2007.

- Rated the best new business school in the UK by the Guardian in 2007.
