NUS Engineering is in the World Top Ten

National University of Singapore (NUS) Faculty of Engineering offers a range of programmes, such as the Bachelor of Engineering (Bioengineering), Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering), and so on.


The NUS Graduate Programme in Bioengineering (NUS-GPBE) is a division programme of the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering (NGS), one of the Asian premier graduate schools. In contrast to other graduate programmes, GPBE students can have the opportunity to identify their research interests through Lab Rotation programme. Some of the research areas are as follows:

  • Biosignal Processing
  • Computational Modelling
  • BioMEMS and Nanotechnology

NUS is ranked among the world’s top ten Engineering and IT universities for three consecutive years by THES. It is ranked 9th in the world for two consecutive years - 2004 and 2005, and is ranked 8th in 2006. In the latest overall rankings, NUS has moved up to secure the 19th place in a survey of the top 200 universities in the world.


In addition NUS is ranked among the World’s Top 20 and Asia’s Top 3 universities in the QS World University Rankings 2006 conducted by the Times Higher Education Supplement (THES).
