Canada Comprehensive University Ranking

The University of Victoria has been voted the Best Comprehensive University in Canada for 2 years (Macleans Magazine 2008, 2007).

Simon Fraser University (SFU) has been ranked as Canadian best comprehensive university in 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2008 and 2009.

* According to the Maclean’s magazine’s 19th annual university rankings, SFU was ranked Canada’s best comprehensive university. Out of the 48 Canadian universities, only 11 were grouped together in the comprehensive category. The rankings were based on data available on Statistics Canada about financial indicators such as spending on student services, operating budget, scholarships and bursaries, and library expenses.
