Maryland Engineering in Top Ranking

University of Maryland is a top university in the US (placed at Tier One among all National Universities by US News). It is also placed as one of the world's top 20 universities, rated 19th internationally in the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities 2009.

The Clark School of Engineering at Maryland is one of the best performing engineering departments in the nation with oustanding ranking achievements. According to the U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Graduate Schools", the Clark School's engineering programs and its specialtis are ranked highly as follows:

- its graduate engineering programs are rated 17th in the country and 10th among all public institutions (2009). It maintained the high position of 17th nationally in the 2010 edition.
