University of the Ozarks Top Rankings

Founded in 1834, The University of the Ozarks is a top private comprehensive university located in Clarksville, Arkansas (USA). It is the oldest institution of higher education in Arkansas. It was also the first institution to provide support to students with learning disabilities, with the opening of the Jones Learning Center.

The university offers a range of academic programs and majors including Accounting, Art, Biology, Chemistry, Economics, Environmental Studies, Marketing, Mathematics, Physical Education, Political Science, Psychology of Human Behavior, Sociology, etc.

Rankings:

- Ranked 7th among 97 universities that fall in the Baccalaureate Colleges category in the South Region (2010 edition of "America's Best Colleges" by US News & World Report). It was tied for seventh in 2009 and eighth in both 2008 and 2006.

- 2nd in the category of "Great Schools, Great Prices" among 97 universities in the 12-state South Region that are considered Baccalaureate Colleges (USNWR 2010).

- Ranked No. 1 in the South in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” category (USNWR 2008).

- Named one of the top universities in the country to work for by The Chronicle of Higher Education (2009 “Great Colleges to Work For”).
