University of Colorado Denver Rankings

The University of Colorado Denver (UCD or UC Denver) is a leading public university in the U.S. state of Colorado. It is one of three campuses in the University of Colorado system and is the largest research institution in the state of Colorado. The university has two campuses, one in Denver on the Downtown Campus and on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, Colo. In July 2004, the University of Colorado at Denver and the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center merged to create the University of Colorado at Denver and Health Sciences Center.

- UC Denver Anschutz Medical Campus and Downtown Campus graduate schools are placed among the best in the country, according to the U.S. News and World Report 2010 graduate school rankings. It is placed in the top 50 for the following graduate programs and specialties:

   - Public Affairs (32nd)
   - College of Nursing, Master’s program (15th)
   - Pediatric nurse practitioner (3rd)

It is also ranked 5th in the family medicine specialty, 11th in both the pediatrics and the AIDS specialty, 13th in the drug/alcohol abuse specialty, 20th in the internal medicine specialty and 24th in the rural medicine specialty. In addition the Physician Assistant/Child Health Associate Program is ranked 6th (U.S. News & World Report's graduate school rankings 2004).
