The following universities are offering online distance learning degree program in the field of Engineering:

Texas Tech University
- The College of Engineering Distance Learning Program offers educational opportunities to students interested in pursuing graduate coursework in engineering. Programs offered include: Master of Science in Systems and Engineering Management; Master of Science in Software Engineering; Master of Engineering.
- The Master of Engineering program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and approved for presentation at a distance by the Higher Education Coordinating Board of Texas.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
- It offers the Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering (MSME) completely online. No campus visits are required.
- A degree earned through online program is exactly same as the one awarded to students attending UIUC on-campus.
- Rated the 3rd best for Engineering/Technology and Computer Sciences in the world (ARWU 2008).

Mississippi State University
- It offers an interdisciplinary master of engineering degree through distance learning.
- The average time to complete the Master of Engineering program is two to three years.
- There is no campus residency requirement.
- The degree will not state it is distance or online. No distinction is made between distance and main campus programs.
- It has been ranked 11th among the Best Buy Online Degrees in Engineering by Geteducated.com.

The University of North Dakota (UND)
- It offers Distance Engineering Degree Programs: BS in Chemical, Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Courses offered through the Distance Engineering Degree Program provide the same content as on-campus courses.
- It has been named one of "The Best 361 Colleges" in the United States by The Princeton Review.

Michigan Technological University
- It offers the Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) through the Mechanical Engineering-Engineering Mechanics department.
- The BSE degree via distance learning is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET).
- Three Michigan Tech graduate engineering programs are placed in the top 50 nationwide, with two other graduate programs ranked in the top 100. The College of Engineering ranked 82nd overall (U.S. News & World Report 2010).
