The University of West Alabama (UWA or U-DUB or U-WAH) is a four-year public institution of higher learning located in Livingston, Alabama (USA). It was chartered in 1835 as Livingston Female Academy and State Normal College.

The College of Business is nationally accredited by the ACBSP (Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs) to offer the following business degrees: Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, and Management and Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology and Technology.

The University of West Alabama is accredited by The Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education. The nursing program is approved by the State of Alabama and accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The Athletic Training Education Program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
