University of Guelph Top Rankings

The University of Guelph (U of G) is one of the top ranking comprehensive universities in Canada, offering a wide variety of programs and courses in many different disciplines.

Guelph has the following Colleges: College of Arts; College of Biological Science; College of Management & Economics; College of Physical & Engineering Science; College of Social & Applied Human Sciences; Ontario Agricultural College; Ontario Veterinary College.

University Rankings:

- Received an A+ for having the most satisfied students. It is the only school among Canada's small, medium and large-sized universities to receive that mark. It also received an A+ for campus atmosphere and an A for overall quality of education in the University Report Card (eighth annual survey). It was also ranked No. 1 in its division or tied for the top ranking in several key areas, including teaching, student services, course availability, buildings and facilities, food services, and campus technology.

- Named Canada's top comprehensive research institution in the annual "Top 50 Research Universities" list published by Research Infosource (2009). It is also placed 2nd among comprehensive universities in the "Research University of the Year" ranking.

- Ranked 2nd in reputation and 4th overall among comprehensive universities (Maclean's magazine 2008). It is also rated 1st in research funding, 2nd in library acquisitions, 3rd in faculty grants in the social sciences and humanities, and 4th in student services as a percentage of the operating budget.

- University of Guelph is rated as the top comprehensive university in Canada in 1999, 2002, 2003, and 2006 (Maclean's magazine).

- Ranked at the top of its class for overall educational quality, reputation and atmosphere in the 2006 University Report Card published by the Globe and Mail.
