The University of Kansas
- Music education and music therapy at KU are recognized as among the finest programs in the world. The University's degrees and programs in music therapy include bachelor's, graduate equivalency, master's, and doctoral.
- The music therapy programs are accredited through the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA).

Alverno College
- Alverno's Music Therapy or Music Therapy Equivalency programs are designed to prepare students for careers in health care using the art of music as therapeutic treatment. The Equivalency program is designed for those who already have a college degree and are interested in becoming board certified music therapists.
