Princeton University is ranked No. 1, tied with Harvard University, in the Best National Universities category in the U.S. News and World Report 2012 edition of the Best Colleges guidebook. U.S. News placed Princeton University at the top of its list for the quality of undergraduate teaching, academic value and low student debt for graduates, topping the list for low student debt among the best national universities.
U.S. News has named The University of Tulsa (TU) as the nation's 75th best university - the highest position ever achieved by TU. This marks the ninth consecutive year that TU has been listed in the Top 100 national universities, and it is the only Oklahoma university to be included within the top 100. The University moved up 18 positions this year, the most of any institution within the report's top 100 rankings.
The University of Denver is again ranked among the nation's top 100 national universities, moving up from 86th to 82nd this year, and tied with American University, Auburn University, Marquette University, SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and the University of Vermont. University of Denver was also included on the National Universities list of A+ Options for B Students.
