Salisbury University - Rankings

Salisbury University is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering graduate and undergraduate programs. It is a member of the University System of Maryland.

Salisbury University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. All business programs in The Franklin P. Perdue School of Business are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB-International).

The program in Exercise Science is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). The programs in Athletic Training are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). The programs in Nursing are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. The programs in Social Work are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. The program in Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

The programs in Music are accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music. The programs in Teacher Education are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE). The program in Environment Health Science is accredited by the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council.

Ratings and Rankings:

- Salisbury University is ranked 41st among Tier 1 Regional Universities (North) by US News (2012).

- For the 14th consecutive year Salisbury is placed as a top 10 public comprehensive university in the North. It is rated 7th in the U.S. News & World Report, "America's Best College's: 2010 Edition". SU's top tier ranking in the 2010 edition is 38th, among both public and private universities.

- Ranked as one of the nation's best institutions in The Princeton Review "The Best 371 Colleges" in America (2010 Edition) and one of "The Best Northeastern Colleges, 2010".

- Salisbury University is listed among the Top 50 “Best Value” Public Colleges in the nation for 2010 by The Princeton Review, in partnership with USA Today.

- Named one of the 100 Best Values in Public Colleges by Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine (2010).

- Named among nation's 'Greenest' colleges and featured in the inaugural Guide to 286 Green Colleges. The 286 colleges were selected based on “green rating” scores they received in summer 2009 in The Princeton Review's online profiles and annual guidebooks. It received a rating of 88 (on a scale of 60-99) in The Princeton Review's Best 371 Colleges.
