Top Universities in Taiwan 2011-2012

National Taiwan University (NTU) is the top ranked university in Taiwan in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011-2012. NTU is rated 154th in the world and ahead of National Tsing Hua University (2nd in Taiwan and 201-225th in the world). A total of 8 Taiwanese universities ranked in the global top 400 list. The others are: National Chiao Tung University (226-250), National Sun Yat-Sen University (251-275), National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (301-350), National Central University (351-400), National Taiwan Ocean University (351-400), Yuan Ze University (351-400).

According to the QS World University Rankings 2011/2012, NTU is ranked 1st in Taiwan and 87th internationally, followed by National Tsing Hua University (213th internationally).

According to the Webometrics Web Ranking of World Universities (Jan 2012), NTU is ranked 1st in Taiwan and 42nd in the world, followed by National Cheng Kung University (63rd globally), and National Chiao Tung University (72nd globally). A total of 7 Taiwanese universities ranked in the global top 200 list. The others are: National Tsing Hua University Taiwan (113th), National Central University (125th), National Chung Hsing University (182nd), and National Sun Yat-Sen University (190th).
