Most Beautiful College Campuses
University of Cincinnati (UC) - Forbes has named UC among the world's most beautiful college campuses. Other institutions making that short list were Oxford University (UK), Princeton University (US), Yale University (US), Stanford University (US), and the University of Virginia (US).
Sonoma State University (SSU) - It has been named one of the most beautiful college campuses in the nation by Thebestcolleges.org. SSU is ranked 34th out of 50, outranked other prestigious universities like the University of San Diego and UC Santa Cruz in terms of campus setting. The ranking was the result of a poll of college students who graduated from beautiful campuses and reported higher satisfaction with their overall college experience.
Lewis & Clark - It has one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation, according to two different national rankings. The College came No. 2 in the Princeton Review list and No. 7 in Newsweek. Lewis & Clark is also one of only five Pacific Northwest schools profiled in U.S. News & World Report's “Best Colleges” edition, the College stands out with its lush campus, its respected College Outdoors program, and its strong commitment to overseas study.
Iowa State University - Iowa State's central campus is one of only 3 colleges to receive the American Society of Landscape Architects medallion award given to outstanding landscape sites. The book, The Campus as a Work of Art, proclaimed Iowa State to have one of the 25 most beautiful campuses in the nation.
University of California Santa Cruz - UC Santa Cruz is among the campuses cited as the "most beautiful" in the world by Forbes magazine. Others include Tsinghua University, University of Bologna, Yale University, etc. Additionally, UCSC was one of 25 campuses profiled in the cover story of Newsweek magazine's fall 2009 special issue on U.S. colleges.
