Best National Universities 2015

Princeton University is ranked 1st among the top national universities according to the U.S. News & World Report "Best Colleges 2015" rankings, with Harvard, Yale, Columbia and Stanford rounding out the top 5.

University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) is ranked No. 2 among the nation’s best public universities and No. 23 overall of the nation’s top colleges and universities. In addition, UCLA topped all universities for economic diversity; 39 percent of UCLA undergraduate students receive Pell Grants.

Boston College maintained its position of 31st among the best national universities in the 2015 US News & World Report survey. The College was also ranked 37th in the “Great Schools Great Prices” ranking, reflecting the University’s commitment to need-blind admissions and to meeting the full demonstrated need of all of its accepted students.

The University of Iowa is ranked 71st in the "Best National Universities" category, and 27th among the nation's best public universities, according to the latest rankings published by the magazine U.S. News & World Report. The University is also listed in a section titled "A+ Schools for B Students" which lists institutions where non-superstars have a decent shot of being accepted and thriving (and) where spirit and hard work could make all the difference to admissions offices.

Saint Louis University (SLU) is ranked 99th among the country's 267 national universities. The ranking places SLU among the top 5 Jesuit institutions on the national universities list.
