Top Universities in the World 2014/15

Massachusetts Institute of Technology is ranked 1st among the top universities in the world according to the 2014/15 QS World University Rankings, followed by the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London (both tied for 2nd place).

University of Michigan (U-M) maintained its ranking as the top U.S. public university in the QS World Rankings for 2014/15, and ranked 23rd among all institutions on the list, moving down one place from last year. The other public U.S. university in the top 30 is the University of California, Berkeley.

The University of Sheffield has risen to 69th place in this year’s QS World University Rankings and is now recognised as the 12th best institution in the UK and 1st in the Yorkshire region.

The University of St Andrews is placed 88th in the QS World University Rankings 2014/2015. The University was rated highly for the reputation of its Arts faculty and its Natural Sciences departments, plus its ability to attract the best international staff and students.

The University of Barcelona (UB) is the first-ranked university in Spain according to the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2014-2015. Overall UB is ranked 166th in the world ranking, up 12 places form last year ranking.
