Harvard University was ranked 1st among the top research medical schools in the nation, according to the U.S. News & World Report 2018 “Best Graduate Schools” rankings, followed by Stanford University in 2nd place.
Vanderbilt University School of Medicine rose to No. 14 among research medical schools, its ninth straight year in the top 15. Its internal medicine specialty ranked 10th.
Emory University School of Medicine was ranked 23rd nationally among research-oriented medical schools, and 34th among primary care schools.
The Ohio State University College of Medicine was ranked 31st among all research medical schools in the nation. This is a two-position improvement from last year. Among public universities it was ranked 11th.
The University of Louisville School of Medicine was ranked 73rd, five points better than 2017 and 10 points better than 2016, in the category of “Best Medical Schools-Research.
