Top Liberal Arts Colleges in Ohio

Oberlin College is the highest ranked liberal arts college (#1 in Ohio and #20 nationally), according to the US News & World Report 2009. Kenyon College is ranked 32nd nationally, followed by Denison University (53rd) and College of Wooster (77th).

Oberlin College is one of the 50 "Best Value" private colleges and universities in the US – and the only college in Ohio – to be selected for The Princeton Review’s "Best Value" Colleges list for 2009. It is also ranked 36th in the Kiplinger 2008-2009 Best Values in Private Colleges.

Kenyon College is rated second top in the state. The Princeton Review listed Kenyon in its annual rankings of the 351 best colleges. It is ranked 11th in the category "professors bring material to life," 10th in "professors make themselves available," 10th for a "beautiful campus," and16th for "happy students". It is also selected as one of the 25 "New Ivies" in The 2007 Kaplan/Newsweek 'How to Get Into College Guide.'
