Founded in 1960, The University of California, San Diego (UCSD or UC San Diego) is a top public research university located in La Jolla, San Diego, California (USA). It is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
The university is organized into the following Divisions & Schools: Arts & Humanities, Biological Sciences, Intl' Relations/Pacific Studies, Jacobs School of Engineering, Physical Sciences, Rady School of Management, School of Medicine, Scripps Inst. of Oceanography, Skaggs School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Social Sciences. UCSD's undergraduate division is organized into six residential colleges: Revelle College, John Muir College, Thurgood Marshall College, Earl Warren College, Eleanor Roosevelt College, and Sixth College.
