Jacksonville State University Profile

Jacksonville State University (JSU) is a public university located in the U.S. state of Alabama. It was founded in 1883 as Jacksonville State Normal School.

JSU has the following Colleges:
- College of Education and Professional Studies
- College of Nursing and Health Sciences
- College of Arts and Sciences
- College of Commerce and Business Administration
- The College of Graduate Studies

The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest at JSU, offering courses in humanities, arts, and sciences, as well as professional and graduate programs leading to the award of baccalaureate and master's degrees.

The University offers a number of graduate programs, including the Master of Arts (MA), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), Master of Science (MS), Master of Science in Education (MS.Ed), Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Educational Specialist (Ed.S.).

It also offers Distance Education programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Online Bachelor degree programs include the Bachelor of Science in Business/Management, Bachelor of Science in Emergency Management, Bachelor of Science in Family & Consumer Sciences with a concentration in Child Development. The University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The College of Commerce and Business Administration is accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
