American University in Bulgaria (AUBG) is a private American-style liberal arts university which is accredited both in the United States (by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and in Bulgaria (by the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation), and academic credits are fully transferable in Europe and in the United States. AUBG is chartered as an institution of higher education by an act of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria.
