Sofia University Faculty of Medicine
- It is the first school of higher education in Bulgaria.

Medical University of Sofia

Pleven Medical University
- The University has all theoretic, pre-clinical and clinical departments required for the higher medical education.

Medical University of Plovdiv
- It was established in 1945. It includes the Faculties of Medicine, Dental medicine, and Health Care, a Medical College and a hospital of its own.
- The duration of training for the major of Medicine is 6 years (12 semesters altogether) and the Degree acquired is Master’s.
Trakia University of Stara Zagora Faculty of Medicine
- It was established in 1995 by Decree of the 37 th National Parliament.
- The University has legitimate institutional accreditation by resolution of the National Assessment and Accreditation Agency at the Council of Ministers.
Varna Medical University
- It was established in 1961. The University is a modern educational, scientific and therapeutical centre in North Eastern Bulgaria.
- Medical University “Prof. Paraskev Stoyanov” - Varna is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO) and by the ECFMG of the United States.
