Top Universities in Korea

Korean universities are consistently ranked among the world's best institutions in many international league tables. According to the QS World University Ranking 2010, 5 Korean universities are ranked among the world's top 200, with Seoul National University (SNU) ranked 50th in the world, followed by Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) at 79th, POSTECH at 112th, Yonsei University at 142nd, and Korea University at 191st.

Seoul National University is also the best ranked university in Korea according to the 4icu.org world university rankings 2010, ahead of Korea University and Pohang University of Science and Technology. In the QS Asian university rankings 2010, SNU is ranked 6th in Asia, followed by KAIST (13th in Asia) and POSTECH (14th).

As Korea's leading university, SNU has gained a solid reputation as an international institution, building partnerships with world renowned universities. It has made academic exchange agreements with some of the world top ranking universities such as the University of Sydney, University of Tokyo, University of Oxford, Harvard Medical School, Yale University, Princeton University, among many others.

According to the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2010, SNU is ranked in the global top 150. Korea University, Yonsei University and KAIST are all ranked in the range of 201-300th globally.
