Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU) is a coeducational public university located in Estero near Fort Myers, Florida (US). It is a member of the State University System of Florida.

Florida Gulf Coast University has the following Colleges: College of Arts and Sciences; College of Education; College of Health Professions; College of Professional Studies; Lutgert College of Business; U.A. Whitaker School of Engineering.

FGCU is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees. The Lutgert College of Business is accredited by AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business).

The Master of Social Work Program has been accredited by the Council on Social Work Education Commission on Accreditation. The Master of Science in Nursing (M.S.N.) program is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). The MPA program is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration (NASPAA). The University's PGA Golf Management Program is accredited by the PGA nationally. The Physical Therapy program received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
