Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM)
- NEOUCOM has the oldest accelerated, combined degree program in the state of Ohio. Students can earn a combined bachelor of science and doctor of medicine (B.S./M.D.) degree in only six or seven years.
- The University is a member of the university system of Ohio and its partners include teaching hospitals, community sites and boards of health.
University of Toledo
- The Department of Bioengineering offers a joint BS/MD program with the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Qualified applicants must complete a successful interview with College of Medicine faculty before they are admitted to the BS/MD program.
- The University has positioned itself as a future medical and technical research powerhouse in the rankings of research funding from the National Institute of Health and the National Science Foundation.
University of Kentucky College of Medicine
- The B.S./M.D. Accelerated Course of Study offers students the chance to complete both a B.S. degree in Biology as well as an M.D. degree in only seven years.
- Candidates are awarded the B.S. degree after successful completion of the first year of medical school, and are then awarded the M.D. degree after successful completion of all medical school requirements.
- The UK College of Medicine is ranked 31st among public medical schools in National Institutes of Health funding (NIH) (FY04).
University of Nevada
- The BS-MD program offers a seven year accelerated pathway to medical school for a small number of motivated high school seniors.
- Students will complete the first three years of the required undergraduate curriculum at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) or the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), then enter the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
- The University of Nevada School of Medicine was ranked 89th in the list of “best medical schools – research” in the annual rankings of the best graduate programs by U.S. News and World Report (2011).
