Guardian League Table 2017

According to the Guardian League Table 2017, Cambridge was ranked No. 1 in the UK and ahead of Oxford (2nd). This is the sixth year that Cambridge has held the top spot overall.

Loughborough University was ranked 4th in the 2017 Guardian University League Table, making it the top ranked university in England after Cambridge and Oxford. Loughborough has climbed seven places from last year, with 16 of its courses being ranked in the national top 10.

Swansea University improved its overall ranking over the past year from 52nd to 39th, which is the largest jump by a university in Wales. Amongst some of the most notable results for the University are for teaching (up 45 places to 15th), overall course satisfaction (up 28 places to 7th) and career prospects, which is at 14th place.

The University of Bradford has soared 20 places in the Guardian league table, making it one of the biggest rises in the UK. Bradford has jumped up from 72nd in the 2016 list to 52nd in the 2017 ranking.

The University of Derby was ranked in the Top 50 in The Guardian University Guide 2017 after climbing 25 places. The University has jumped from 73rd to 48th place out of 119 institutions – the second biggest jump in the country – to achieve its highest ever ranking.
