Guardian University Guide 2019

Cambridge continue as the top performer in the Guardian University Guide 2019, followed by Oxford in 2nd place and St Andrews in 3rd place.

Loughborough University has been ranked 4th in the 2019 Guardian University Guide, rising two places from last year. It also has 21 of its 28 subject areas ranked in the national top 10.

The University of Lincoln has been ranked 22nd in the UK in The Guardian University Guide 2019. The institution has risen 25 places in the national league table, driven by its success in student satisfaction and an impressive student continuation rate.

The University of Southampton rose 12 places to be ranked 23rd overall in the 2019 guide. Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) and Computer Science at ECS (Electronics and Computer Science) both continue to perform well in the 2019 Guardian University Guide, with EEE retaining overall second place and Computer Science jumping from 16th to eighth place in the subject rankings.

Swansea University has once again achieved its highest rank in the league table, climbing 14 places to 31st out of 121 institutions in the Guardian University Guide 2019, making it Wales’ top ranked university.

The University of Liverpool has climbed 10 places to 57th in the Guardian University Guide 2019. Once again, the Guardian has ranked Liverpool as the top place to study Anatomy/Physiology. Other notable subject rankings include Chemistry (2nd), Forensic Science/Archaeology (2nd), Veterinary Science (3rd), Nursery/Midwifery (5th) and Dentistry (7th).
