The University of Missouri-Columbia (Mizzou, or MU) is a top public research university located in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is designated as comprehensive doctoral with medical/veterinary by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching.

The College of Education was selected because of its Educational Leadership Statewide Cooperative EdD, program to participate in the Carnegie Project on the Education Doctorate. It is one of 22 institutions from across the U.S. selected to participate.
