The University of California–San Francisco (UCSF) School of Pharmacy Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education. When evaluated by perception, funding for science, and scientific publication rates, the UCSF School of Pharmacy was ranked 1st in all criteria according to a September 2002 survey reported in The Annals of Pharmacotherapy.

University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill has the only public school of pharmacy in the state of North Carolina and one of the oldest in the nation.It is rated 2nd among the nation's doctor of pharmacy programs in U.S. News & World Report magazine's 2007 edition of America's Best Graduate Schools.
