Aston University in Top 20 Rankings

Aston is ranked as one of the top 20 universities in the UK, according to a number of league tables. The Independent Complete University Guide 2010 placed Aston at 13th out of 113 leading institutions. It is also ranked in the top 20 for criteria including Graduate level employment success, Student Satisfaction and Spending on Student Facilities.

According to the Guardian University Guide, Aston is ranked 19th out of 122 UK institutions in 2010 Edition, and 18th in 2009 Edition. It has featured in the top 20 positions for 5 out of the last 6 years. The Guardian tables focus on performance indicators such as teaching quality, spending on student facilities, entry grades, staff-student ratios and graduate success/job prospects.

The university is rated 11th out of all 115 UK full scale Universities for Student Satisfaction (8th in England), according to the 2008 National Student Survey.

Aston is a top 10 UK University for graduate employment in the Times, Sunday Times, Guardian and Complete University Guides 2009.

According to the 2008 RAE results, all research areas submitted by Aston were ranked in the top 12 nationally - with 45% of the research submitted evaluated as excellent or world-leading.

The university is also ranked in the top 15 among all UK institutions in the 2007 and 2008 Times Good University Guide.

Aston MBA is ranked 13th in UK and 61st globally in the Economist Intelligence Unit 2008 Top 100 MBA Ranking. Aston Business School ranked first in the world for careers (Financial Times Masters Rankings 2009).
