- 10th in The Times and The Complete University Guide 2010 Graduate Prospects rating, for graduates undertaking further study or employment six months after graduation.

- 11th for Graduate Prospects (Guardian and Sunday Times 2010).

- In The Times Good University Guide 2008, City University is ranked 5th among top UK universities offering graduates the best prospects following their studies. It is rated 40th overall in the nation (joint 4th with Surrey). It is also placed in the Top 10 for graduate salaries in full-time work.

- 30th among Top UK Universities for Economics & Econometrics, 42nd for computer science and informatics (RAE 2008).

- Cass Business School is rated 13th in the ranking of World Top 95 EMBA Programs by Financial Times 2008.
