Bath Spa University Rankings & Ratings

Bath Spa University (formerly known as Bath College of Higher Education, and Bath Spa University College) is one of the major 'teaching-led' universities in the UK. It was granted university status in August 2005.

Rankings and Ratings:

- 60th nationally in the Guardian University Guide 2010.

- 65th in the UK - Guardian University Guide 2009.

- According to the Complete University Guide, it is ranked 70th in 2008, 76th in 2009 and 82nd in 2010.

- It was designated as a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL).

- Ranked in the top ten of the modern UK Universities (Sunday Times 2008).

- 5th in the Sunday Times modern universities league table 2006.

- 48th in the Push League Table 2008.

- Ranked among the top third of post-1992 universities in the RAE 2008 when taking into account the number of academic staff entered the Research Assessment Exercise.

- 72nd in The Times Good University Guide 2009.

- 88th in the UK - Times Good University Guide 2008.

- 51st for History Degree Courses, 67th for Drama, Dance and Cinematics (Times 2009).

- 70th in the Daily Telegraph University Ranking 2007.

The University has also formed partnerships with some of the regional Further Education Colleges, known as the Wessex Partnership (Partnership colleges include Bridgwater College, Cirencester College, City of Bath College, City of Bristol College, New College Swindon, Norton Radstock College, Weston College, and Wiltshire College).
