De Montfort University Ranking Profile

De Montfort University (DMU) is a modern British university with good reputation for research and employment prospects. It offers a range of courses that can lead to exemptions from major UK professional bodies such as the ACCA, CIMA, CIM, etc.

The university has five faculties:

- In the Times Good University Guide 2010, De Montfort is placed among the best UK institutions for student satisfaction:
- Leicester De Montfort Law School is placed in the top 20 nationally when measuring student satisfaction, ranked 18th out of 91 Law Schools based on data compiled under the National Student Survey.
- Leicester Business School is rated in the top 10 for student satisfaction, outperform other leading Business Schools such as Oxford, Warwick, and Bath. It is also rated highly in other areas: Business Studies is ranked 7th in the nation out of 110 institutions, Accounting and Finance was ranked 14th, Politics is ranked 9th in the country.
- The Business School is placed among the UK's Top 50 Business Schools (2009 Times League Table and 2009 Independent Complete University Guide).

- 77th in the Guardian University Guide 2010, moving up from 82nd in 2009.

- 77th in the Times Good University Guide 2009, moving up from 97th in 2008.

- 64th in the Complete University Guide 2009 (placed 65th in 2010).

- Leicester Business School is placed in the top 10 throughout the UK according to the Sunday Times University League Table.

- It is the only university in England rated as 'Excellent' for Accounting and Finance in the Sunday Times (2004).
