Eastern Oregon University Profile

Eastern Oregon University (EOU) is one of seven state-funded four-year universities in the State of Oregon and a member of the Oregon University System. It was founded in 1929 as Eastern Oregon Normal School. EOU is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The university offers more than 20 bachelor’s and 3 master’s degree programs.

The university has the following Colleges:
- College of Arts & Sciences
- College of Business
- College of Education

It offers bachelor's degrees and the degrees of MBA, Master of Science Education and Master of Arts in Teaching. In addition it has dental hygiene, military science, agricultural science, nursing, Pre-Professional/Transfer Programs, etc. The Division of Distance Education offers a range of online courses in Business Administration, Business Economics, Psychology, and many more.

The MBA program is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE). The curriculum consists of the Prerequisite, the Core, and the Master Thesis/Project. Applicants whose baccalaureate degrees are not in business may be required to take certain prerequisite courses.

Rankings:

- The online degree in business administration has been ranked a "Best Buy" out of 83 colleges and universities nationwide. EOU's program is ranked 13th on the list of most affordable online bachelor's degrees in business/management in the 2009 GetEducated.com survey.

- Ranked as one of the top four Western Public Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report in 2000.

- Named a Military Friendly School in the "G.I. Jobs" magazine's 2010 list of Military Friendly Schools. It is placed among the top 15% of institutions qualifying for the honor.
