Birmingham Business School MBA

Birmingham Business School is the business school of the University of Birmingham - one of the most prestigious 'Red Brick' universities in the UK. Birmingham University is ranked 94th out of the Top 100 Universities in the World by ARWU in 2009.

The School is accredited by EQUIS and AMBA, and many of its programmes have received professional accreditation from CIPD, ICSA and CIPS, to name a few. The MSc Marketing is recognised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Birmingham Business School has the following departments: Accounting and Finance, The Centre for Urban and Regional Studies, Economics, Management (with three research groups: Procurement and Operations Management, Managerial Economics, International Management and Organisation), and Marketing.

The MBA takes 12 months (full-time) to complete or a minimum of 24 months for part-time study. There are three specialist MBAs: MBA (Global Banking and Finance), MBA (Corporate Governance and Responsibility) and the MBA (Strategy and Procurement Management).

- 59th in the 2009 Global MBA rankings of Expansion.

- 15th in UK and 83rd in the world (Financial Times Global MBA Rankings 2009). It is also ranked highly in individual categories, including:
   - Value for money taking account of pre- and post-MBA salaries (21st)
   - Career progression of our MBA students (26th)
   - Proportion of women students (4th)
   - Proportion of international students (5th)

- 67th in the EIU Ranking of World's Top 100 MBA programs 2008.

- 90% of research activity submitted by the School was rated as being of international standing (RAE 2008). It was rated 14th out of 90 Business submissions based on the proportion of activity ranked at the 4* (world class) level.

- No. 1 in the UK for the MBA programme (EIU 2005 rankings).
