The University of Bolton is a leading university for teaching quality, consistently won the highest ratings possible from the Government's quality control agency. It was formerly known as Bolton Institute of Higher Education.
The university offers a comprehensive range of courses from HNDs and foundation degrees to undergraduate certificates, diplomas, degrees, and postgraduate masters and doctorates. It also offers a wide range of both full-time and part-time professional development courses, as well as a range of short courses which can be taken as professional development.
Bolton has the following Academic Schools and Research Centres:

The university has run courses in conjunction with a number of partner organisations in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Germany, Greece, Dublin, Russia, China.
The University has formed a partnership with Institute of Financial Accountants (IFA) to offer the BA (Honours) Degree in Accountancy for Associate and Fellow Members of the IFA.
