David Geffen School of Medicine

Founded in 1951, The David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA (University of California, Los Angeles) is one of the nation's elite medical schools. It offers Pre-MD Programs, MD Degree, PhD Degree, MD Combined Programs, Post-M.D. Graduate Programs, and Continuing Medical Education.

The David Geffen School of Medicine is affiliated with UCLA Medical Center which has been ranked "Best in the West" by U.S. News and World Report's annual survey of the best hospitals in America for many years.

Rankings:

- Ranked in the top 10 in the category: Best Medical School (Primary Care) by US News (2010).

- Ranked 9th among the nation's research-based medical schools, according to U.S. News & World Report's annual survey of the best graduate medical schools in the United States (2009). The primary care program was ranked 12th in the nation. In addition it was ranked highly in a number of specialty training programs, including: 4th in geriatrics, 8th in women's health.

- The Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center is ranked as one of the top three American hospitals and the best hospital in the western United States for the 20th consecutive year, according to the U.S. News & World Report survey, "America's Best Hospitals" guide (2009-2010). UCLA is ranked in the top 20 in 15 of the 16 specialty areas:
