Best Baccalaureate Colleges 2011

U.S. News & World Report has released its annual rankings of best baccalaureate colleges in the nation ("baccalaureate college" refers to an institution that focuses on undergraduate education while offering a wide range of degree programs in the liberal arts as well as professional fields, such as business and education). Following are some of the best performers for 2011:

Bethel College - It is rated 16th among the Midwest’s Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the 2011 edition of “America’s Best Colleges”, moving up four places from last year’s rank and the highest ranking Bethel has ever received from the media group. In the Midwest category there are 94 schools. Nationally there are 319 schools in this category and overall Bethel came in at 40 putting it in the top 12 percent of the Best Baccalaureate Colleges.

Bay Path College - Ranked 27th among Best Baccalaureate Colleges in the North. This is the seventh year in a row that Bay Path has been included in the top tier, moving up four places from the previous year.

Taylor University - Rated the number one Baccalaureate College in the Midwest. It marked Taylor's fourth straight top ranking following ten straight years of being ranked in the region's Top Three.

Oklahoma Baptist University - For the 17th consecutive year, Oklahoma Baptist University has been listed as Oklahoma's highest-rated baccalaureate college in U.S.News & World Report's annual ranking of "America's Best Colleges." It is ranked 2nd in the West. Other Oklahoma institutions listed in the Baccalaureate Colleges category Top 15 included Oklahoma Wesleyan University (6th), and the University of Sciences and Arts of Oklahoma (tied for 14th with McMurry University in Texas).
