The University of Hawai‘i - West O‘ahu (UHWO) is a public four-year university located in the leeward O‘ahu area.
The Division of Humanities offers students with the option of concentrating in Hawaiian-Pacific Studies, English, History, or Philosophy.
The Division of Social Sciences allows students to concentrate in Anthropology, Political Science, Early Childhood Education, Economics, Psychology, or Sociology.
The Division of Professional Studies provides students with the option of gaining a bachelor degree in Business Administration (BABA) or Public Administration (BAPA). Students pursuing a program in Public Administration may concentrate in Justice Administration, Health Care Administration, General Public Administration, or Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management. For those who pursue a program in Business Administration may concentrate in General Business Administration, Accounting, or Marketing.
UH West O‘ahu also offers degrees and certificate programs through distance learning, including the online Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Political Science, Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA), Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences with a concentration in Early Childhood Education, Certificate in Health Care Administration, etc.
The university also offers a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education; Bachelor of Applied Science degrees in Respiratory Care, Computer Electronics Networking Technology and Culinary Management; as well as Certificates in Applied Forensic Anthropology, Disaster Preparedness & Emergency Management, Health Care Administration and Substance Abuse & Addictions Studies.
The University of Hawai‘i-West O‘ahu received accreditation from the Accrediting Commission for Senior Colleges and Universities of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
