Top Arts and Humanities Universities

Harvard University is ranked No. 1 among the Top 50 Arts and Humanities universities 2010-2011, according to the Times Higher Education (THE). There are three UK universities ranked in the top 10 globally for this subject, with University of Oxford rated top in the UK and 5th in the world, ahead of University of Cambridge (6th internationally) and University College London (10th internationally).

In Australia, three institutions ranked within the top 50 list (THE Arts and Humanities Rankings), with Australian National University rated top in the country and 14th globally. University of Melbourne is ranked 22nd, and the University of Sydney in 25th place. There are two Canadian institutions ranked in the top 50 list, with University of Toronto rated 12th in the world for arts and humanities, and McGill University in 21st place.

In another world ranking: QS World University Rankings® for arts and humanities 2010, University of Oxford is ranked No. 1 in the world and ahead of University of Cambridge (2nd) and Harvard University (3rd). In Arts and Humanities ANU was named Australia's top university (ranked 17th globally) while the University of Sydney was 19th and University of Melbourne was 21st. ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences offers students a wide range of study options at Undergraduate, Postgraduate (coursework) and Research levels.
