Top Universities in Indiana

University of Notre Dame is the 18th best National University in the United States, according to the US News & world Report 2009 rankings. A total of three Indiana universities are placed at Tier 1 by the US News: Notre Dame (18th nationally), Purdue University--West Lafayette (66th), and Indiana University-Bloomington (71st).

The University of Notre Dame is a private Roman Catholic research university in the USA. It is ranked 51st overall in the US for its graduate engineering programs (US News 2010). Its MBA program is rated 79th in the world, according to the Financial Times Global MBA Rankings (2008). The Mendoza College of Business at Notre Dame is also ranked highly in Business Week (2nd for Undergraduate Business Program and 20th for MBA Program).

Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, is one of the top technology schools in the world. It is ranked 17th in the world for Engineering/Technology and Computer Sciences by ARWU 2008. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology has been rated the top undergraduate engineering college in the nation that offers the bachelor's or master's degree as its top degree in engineering.

Taylor University was ranked Number Three Baccalaureate College in U.S. by Washington Monthly College Survey 2010.

The University of Evansville is ranked within the top five comprehensive universities in the United States for study abroad programs.

Valparaiso University has been identified as one of the nation's top-ranked regional universities, ranking 5th in overall quality among the Midwest's regional universities (2011).

Trine University is one of the best colleges and universities in the Midwest, according to The Princeton Review.
