Top-up Degree in Mental Health

Leading UK universities offering top-up degree programmes in Mental Health:

University of Derby - The BSc (Hons) Nursing Studies (Mental Health) Top Up (Online) programme is for qualified nurses who want to develop their knowledge and skills further and top up their diploma credits to a bachelors degree. This course is accredited for registered nurses by the Strategic Health Authority. Candidates will be assessed in a variety of ways including assignments, critical analysis, videos, case studies, critical incident analysis, a portfolio and planned teaching sessions.

Middlesex University in London - The BSc (Hons) Mental Health Degree (Top Up) provides a framework which will enable mental health practitioners (full or part-time or unpaid) in the NHS, Social Services, Voluntary or Independent sector, to combine mental health related modules to form an individualised programme of study.

University of Southampton - The MSc Mental Health Studies (top up) programme is designed for those students who have completed the two-year mental health practitioner programme at Southampton. It can be completed in six months full time, or 18 months part time.

University of Wolverhampton - The MA Mental Health Practice (Top up) degree is designed for mental health professionals nominated by an employer to undertake training and education to become an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). Completion of a research methods module and a dissertation will lead to a Masters Award.
