Top Universities in Oceania

University of Melbourne is the top university in Oceania (rated 1st in Oceania and 37th globally), according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2011-2012, followed by Australian National University (38th globally), and University of Sydney (58th globally).

A total of 8 universities in Oceania ranked among the global top 200 list, with 7 from Australia and 1 from New Zealand. University of Auckland is the 6th best university in Oceania, tied for 173rd with University of New South Wales and Queen's University.

The University of Melbourne is also ranked highly in other international league tables:
- Ranked 31 in the world (overall) and 4th in the world for graduate employability (QS World University Rankings 2011).
