General Engineering Rankings 2012

University of Oxford is ranked 1st in the UK for General Engineering, followed by Cambridge in 2nd place and Surrey in 3rd place nationally, according to The Complete University Guide 2012.

University of Exeter is ranked in the Top 10 for General Engineering in The Times Good University Guide 2012 and The Complete University and Guardian guides. In addition, it is rated 1st for General Engineering in the National Student Survey (2011), based on the average percentage of positive responses across all survey categories for full service universities.

Durham is ranked 7th for General Engineering. The School of Engineering and Computing Sciences (ECS) at Durham is one of a small number of general engineering departments in the UK. It offers a four year MEng and a three year BEng for undergraduates. Durham engineering degrees are accredited by: the Institution of Civil Engineers; the Institution of Structural Engineers; the Institution of Engineering and Technology; and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
